What is WebsiteTherapy?
WebsiteTherapy builds and runs websites for therapists, and works every month on how clients find them. We move your existing site onto our platform (or build one if you don't have one), keep it updated whenever you ask, aim your pages at the searches your clients use, check what AI assistants say about your practice, and keep your Google Business Profile tuned up by hand. A visitor chat answers questions and passes inquiries to you. It's a flat monthly fee with no setup cost.
How is WebsiteTherapy different from SimplePractice, TherapySites, or Squarespace?
Those give you a website and leave the upkeep to you, or charge extra for marketing. With WebsiteTherapy the monthly work is the product, on both plans: a plan for the month, page improvements, articles written in your voice, a check of what ChatGPT, Google's AI and Perplexity say about you, and a Google Business Profile kept in step with your site. You see all of it on one monthly review page.
Do changes go live without me?
Some do, and every one of those can be undone. Page improvements that reword or reorganize what your site already says go live with an Undo on your monthly review page. New articles, new claims about your practice, and removing or merging pages wait for your OK, unless you switch on autopilot. A fact we aren't sure of is asked, never guessed.
Is WebsiteTherapy HIPAA compliant?
Not yet, and we won't claim it until it's true. WebsiteTherapy is HIPAA-aware today: the website is built not to collect clinical information, the chat on your site never asks for health details and doesn't keep chat transcripts, and clinical intake routes to your EHR (SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, etc.). When someone asks to be contacted, through a contact form or the chat, their name, contact details and short message are stored in a separate encrypted database under AWS's Business Associate Agreement with us. Full HIPAA compliance, including a Business Associate Agreement we sign with you, is in progress.
How quickly can my new site go live?
Most sites are ready to review within one to two days of the consultation. We copy your existing site (or build fresh if you don't have one), set up the structured data from your practice details, and send you a preview to review page by page. When you're happy, a 2-minute DNS change switches your address over, with no downtime for your visitors.
What does it cost, and is there a contract?
Two plans, same platform, same monthly SEO and AI work. Growth is $99/month: the full website, kept up to date through your assistant, with your Google Business Profile tuned by our team. Concierge is $199/month: everything in Growth plus Lee, our founder, who handles any task you email, including one of our looks or a custom design.
